Sclera Contacts

Sclera lenses cover the entire visible eye — 22mm of black, red, white or bloodshot drama that regular 14mm lenses can't touch. They're the most advanced lens type we sell, so this page includes honest fitting and wear guidance alongside the collection.

What Makes Sclera Lenses Different

A standard colored lens is ~14mm and sits on your cornea. A sclera lens is ~22mm and covers the white of your eye too — that's why the effect reads as inhuman in the best way: full-black demon eyes, blood-red possession, all-white void. There is no partial version of this look; sclera is the only way to get it.

Honest Expectations Before You Buy

Insertion takes practice. A 22mm lens goes in more slowly than a regular lens — most people need a few tries and a mirror the first time. Comfort window is shorter: plan for 3–6 hours of wear, not a full day. They cost more because far more material and pigment go into each lens. If this is your first-ever contact lens, we honestly recommend starting with a 14mm costume lens and graduating to sclera.

Care Is Non-Negotiable

Sclera lenses need a large lens case and generous fresh solution every time. Clean hands, no tap water contact, never sleep in them, and give your eyes rest days between long cosplay sessions. Remove immediately at any burning or persistent redness.

Ordering Notes

Sclera designs are plano (0.00) only and sold per pair. U.S. orders require prescription verification even for plano — a proper fitting matters more for 22mm lenses than any other type we sell. For Halloween use, order by late September (standard delivery 16–26 days).

Frequently Asked Questions

Are sclera contacts safe?
Worn correctly and for limited sessions, yes — but they demand more care than regular lenses: proper fitting, strict hygiene, 3–6 hour wear windows and immediate removal at any discomfort. We recommend a professional fitting before your first pair.
How hard is it to put in 22mm sclera lenses?
Harder than regular lenses — expect a learning curve. Use a mirror, wash hands thoroughly, insert slowly by looking down into the lens, and allow extra time before your event. Most wearers get comfortable after a few sessions.
How long can I wear sclera contacts?
Plan for 3–6 hours per session, shorter than regular lenses. They cover more of the eye, so oxygen flow matters more — take them out as soon as your scene, shoot or party segment is done.
Can I see normally with black or red sclera lenses?
Yes — sclera designs leave the pupil zone clear, so vision stays functional. Only mesh-style sclera variants reduce vision.
Do sclera contacts come in prescription powers?
Ours are plano (0.00) only. Note that in the U.S. even plano lenses require a valid prescription — and for 22mm lenses a professional fitting is genuinely worth it.
