What "daily disposable" actually means

A daily disposable lens is worn once and thrown away at the end of the day. There is no cleaning, no lens case and no solution to buy — you open a fresh sterile blister each time. Every lens in this collection carries a genuine Daily Disposable schedule; the rest of our range is monthly, half-yearly or yearly and is listed separately.

Who dailies actually suit

Dailies win when you wear colour occasionally — a party, a shoot, a convention weekend, a first try before committing to a shade. Because each pair is fresh, there is no build-up of protein or make-up residue, which is the usual reason a reused lens starts to feel gritty by month three. They also travel well: no bottle of solution to carry through security.

Dailies are the more expensive option per wear if you wear lenses several times a week. In that case a yearly pair with proper care is the cheaper route — the trade-off is that you take on the cleaning routine.

The honest cost comparison

Compare cost per wear, not per pair. A daily pair used once costs its full price that day. A yearly pair worn twice a month for its life works out to a few cents a wear. If you wear colour twice a year, dailies are cheaper overall because a yearly pair would expire long before you used it up.

Coloured dailies and dark eyes

A daily schedule says nothing about opacity. The lenses here use the same high-opacity printing as the rest of our range, so the colour still shows on dark brown eyes — the difference is only how long you keep the pair.

Wearing them safely

One day means one day, even if the lens still feels fine. Never sleep in them, never rinse and re-use, and never store a daily in solution overnight. Colored contact lenses are medical devices in the US and are sold on the basis of a valid prescription — have the fit and power confirmed by your eye care professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are daily disposable coloured contacts better for your eyes?
For occasional wear, yes — a fresh sterile pair removes the deposit build-up and cleaning mistakes that cause most comfort problems with reused lenses. For frequent wear the difference narrows, provided a longer-cycle lens is cleaned and replaced on schedule.
Can I wear a daily disposable lens twice?
No. Once removed, the lens is no longer sterile and its surface has already collected deposits from a day of wear. Rinsing and re-using a daily is the single most common cause of irritation and infection with this lens type.
Do daily disposable colored contacts come with prescription powers?
Selected styles do. Each product page lists the powers available for that design, from 0.00 plano through the strongest power we stock for it.
How many pairs do I need?
One pair per wearing day. For a three-day convention you need three pairs per eye colour you plan to wear. Buying a couple of spares is sensible — a dropped lens cannot be rinsed and put back in.
Do coloured dailies show up on dark brown eyes?
Yes. Replacement schedule and opacity are unrelated; these use the same high-opacity print as our yearly range, so the colour reads on dark eyes.
What if I want to wear colour every day?
Dailies still work, but the cost adds up quickly. Regular wearers usually find a monthly or yearly pair more economical, accepting the cleaning routine that comes with it.
