Vampire Contacts

🎃 Halloween 2026: order by September 17 for standard delivery (2–4 weeks). Ordering later? The $10.99 Express upgrade at checkout covers you into mid-October.

Red is the most instantly recognised costume eye colour there is — put it on and nobody needs to ask what you are. This range runs from a clean blood-red iris, through blood-splatter and dragon-frenzy prints, up to a full sclera lens that turns the entire visible eye red.

Which red should you pick? A standard 14.5mm lens covers the iris and reads as "vampire" in normal light and in photos — the safe choice for a party or a con. A sclera lens covers the whole white of the eye; it is dramatically stronger and photographs terrifyingly well, but it takes practice to insert and is meant for short wear during an event, not a full day.

On dark brown eyes. All of these use an opaque print layer, so the red does not go muddy over a dark iris. Blood-splatter and patterned designs keep the most detail on brown eyes because they rely on pattern contrast rather than pure colour.

Prescription options. Where a design offers powers, the range runs from 0.00 down to −8.00 — check the Power dropdown on the product page. If your prescription includes astigmatism, our power calculator converts it to the closest stocked power.

Safety, plainly. Coloured contact lenses are FDA-regulated medical devices, not accessories. In the US every lens — including plano 0.00 — needs a valid prescription and a professional fitting. Never share lenses, never sleep in them, and take them out if your eye stings, waters or reddens.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do vampire contacts work on dark brown eyes?
Yes. Every design in this range uses an opaque print layer rather than a tint, so the red sits on top of your natural colour instead of mixing with it. Blood-splatter and patterned designs hold the most detail on dark brown eyes.
What is the difference between vampire contacts and sclera contacts?
A standard 14.5mm vampire lens covers the iris only. A sclera lens is much larger and covers the whole visible eye including the white. Sclera lenses are far more dramatic but harder to insert and intended for short wear during an event.
Can you see through vampire contacts?
Yes. The centre of the lens is a clear optical zone. Coloured and sclera lenses do reduce peripheral vision and low-light contrast, so avoid driving at night in them.
Are red vampire contacts available with prescription?
Several designs are stocked with powers from 0.00 to -8.00 - check the Power dropdown on the product page. In the US all contact lenses, including plano 0.00 decorative lenses, require a valid prescription and a professional fitting.
How long before Halloween should I order vampire contacts?
Orders are dispatched within 48 business hours and standard delivery takes about 16-26 days. Order by September 17 for standard delivery. If you order later, the $10.99 Express upgrade at checkout covers you into mid-October.
Are vampire contacts safe to wear?
Coloured contact lenses are regulated medical devices. They are safe when correctly fitted, correctly cleaned, worn within the schedule on the packaging, and never shared or slept in. If your eye stings, waters or reddens, remove the lens and see an eye care professional.
