The Akaza print only reads correctly one way up, so this is an axis-stabilised lens rather than an ordinary free-spinning one. It is made to settle in a fixed orientation on the eye, which keeps the kanji level instead of drifting sideways through the day. If the design looks tilted right after you put the lens in, blink a few times: the lens turns itself back into position within a few blinks, with no need to take it out and start again.
In Demon Slayer, Akaza has gold-yellow irises marked with the kanji for 'Upper Rank Three' — one character in each eye. Round pupils, kanji printed across the iris. Getting that right is what turns a wig and costume into Akaza.
