The Love Hashira Green: Mitsuri's Striped Iris on a Brown Base
Mojosee · Sep 06, 2026
Mitsuri's eyes are the easiest Demon Slayer eyes to get slightly wrong, because they look like plain green until you check a reference frame - then you notice the dark horizontal streaks cutting across the iris like fine brushstrokes. A flat green lens gives you a Pilates-instructor look, not the Love Hashira. This clip shows the striped print on the lens itself, then caught half inserted over a dark brown iris, then worn - so you can judge whether the stripes survive the trip from vial to eye.
What the lens does for this look
Two things decide this lens on a brown base. The green has to be bright and yellow-leaning enough that brown underneath does not drag it to olive - the half-inserted frame is the test, and here the covered side stays vivid grass green against the bare brown. And the streaks have to be printed dark and thin, not as thick bars, so the eye reads textured rather than barred. Because the streaks run horizontally they line up with the natural lid line, which is why the eye still looks soft and wide instead of graphic - exactly the character's expression.

Meet “The Love Hashira Green”
Reference art pinned along the top, the worn eye, the half-inserted proof, then the lens on a fingertip being cleaned - the clip doubles as a small care lesson. Makeup underneath is warm copper shimmer on the lid with a soft brown liner, no green anywhere on the skin, so the lens is the only green in frame and reads as the eye colour rather than as an accessory. Pink-to-green hair does the rest of the character work; the eyes just need to stay bright.
How to recreate it
- Check for the horizontal streaks before anything else - a plain green lens is the wrong character
- Judge the green on a half-inserted or side-by-side frame; it must stay grass green over brown, not drift olive
- Copper or warm bronze shimmer on the lid, thin brown liner, no green shadow
- Keep the lower lash line soft so the streaks stay the darkest lines in the eye
- Lashes lifted, not heavy - the character reads wide-eyed
- Clean the lens on a fingertip with solution before insertion, as shown; streak prints show every fibre
