The star in an idol's eye is the one detail that reads instantly in a photo and the one detail people assume is added afterwards in editing. It is not - it is printed into the lens, and how convincing it looks depends entirely on whether the star keeps its shape once it sits over a darker iris. This clip shows the print on skin, then caught half inserted so the star and the bare brown eye share a frame, then worn on two different skin tones. That last part matters more than most reviews admit.

What the lens does for this look

The print is a violet-to-pink gradient body with a white four-point star locked over the centre, and the star is the fragile part: if the white is thin, a dark iris turns it grey and the whole idol effect dies. Here the star holds because the white is dense and slightly pearlised rather than flat, so it keeps reading as a light source instead of as paint. The pink at the outer edge does the rest, warming the violet just enough that it does not clash with warm skin - which is why it survives on both the fair model and the deeper-toned one in the closing frames.
